Synergy goes international!!

 

SYNERGY: MUCH MORE THAN ENGLISH AND BARS

Synergy has already organized over thirty English Evenings, a few International Evenings, Spanish Tapas, hiking day trips and sports days on the beach! However, Synergy is willing to go even further. Synergy wants to be your “international meeting point” where you can get involved with international activities and international social and cultural projects in different ways.
In this sense, SYNERGY took a step forward in April. Virginia Vilches and Samuel Martinez, two of the promoters of the organization, attended an international training course for youth workers in Ödemis, Turkey. During the course, they presented SYNERGY in front of fifteen other youth organizations within Europe.
As a result of the presentation, they started to build up a network in which members of Synergy are participating and collaborating in international projects. Furthermore, Synergy has been invited to collaborate in a few international projects in the field of human rights and policies for youth unemployment.
So far, Synergy is still working locally, but we encourage those interested in this kind of project to join in our events and meet our team. In the future, Synergy hopes to be able to offer similar opportunities of participating in international courses to other young people living around Algeciras who are willing to compromise in social and cultural projects.

SYNERGY, MUCHO MÁS QUE BARES E INGLÉS.
Por el momento, Synergy ya ha organizado más de 30 English Evenings entre otras actividades como International Evenings, cenas internacionales, excursiones de senderismo o día de deportes en la playa. Pero desde Synergy, queremos llegar incluso más lejos, queremos ser “your international meeting point” dónde los jóvenes de Algeciras también puedan estar en contacto con actividades internacionales y proyectos sociales y culturales de nivel internacional.
Así, el pasado mes de abril Synergy dió un paso adelante. Virginia Vilches y Samuel Martinez, dos de los promotores de la asociación, acudieron a un curso internacional para jóvenes en Ödemis, Turquía. En el curso, ellos presentaron Synergy delante de representantes de otras quince organizaciones juveniles de toda Europa.
Como resultado, Synergy ya ha empezado a construir una red de contactos internacionales que permiten a sus participantes trabajar en proyectos internacionales. Y lo que es más, ya han propuesto a Synergy colaborar en la coordinación y desarrollo de otros cursos y talleres internacionales en el ámbito de los derechos humanos y las políticas de empleo juveniles.
Por el momento, Synergy trabaja sólo a nivel local. Pero animamos a aquellos jóvenes que estén interesados en este tipo de cursos y actividades a unirse a nuestros eventos y conocer al equipo de coordinadores. Para el futuro, Synergy espera poder ofrecer la oportunidad de participar en cursos y proyectos internacionales de las mismas características a otros jóvenes de la zona que como Virginia y Samuel, estén interesados en involucrarse en proyectos sociales y culturales.

English Evening 11th June at Calle 17

All in all Beach activities 25-5-2013

Yesterday we spent the day at the beach playing sports such as baseball, volleyball, and more! Although today we can't move our muscles, we are very happy because we had so much fun. We'd like to say a special thanks to Victor for helping to coordinate the sports. Thanks for coming. See you at the next meeting!

Beach Activities 25th May Rinconcillo Beach

Hey guys, this weekend we have a special meeting, "Beach Activities". We would like to spend the day on the beach while we practice some sports. We will play beach volley and some surprises! Don´t forget your swimsuit, sun protection and your food.

Visit to Feria de Los Barrios

This is one picture of saturday in Los Barrios' fair with the group of Language Exchange from La Línea de la Concepción. We had fun, enjoing the fair doing something different. We have to repeat for Algeciras' fair.
